Travel Information
How to travel to Belgium?
By plane
There are two main airports in Belgium. The national airport (called Brussels Airport) is located in Zaventem near Brussels, while the second most important one (Charleroi's Airport also called “Brussels South”) is located in Charleroi. Many low-cost companies use the airport in Charleroi. There is also the possibility to fly to Luxembourg’s airport.
Zaventem airport
Zaventem airport has a train station that allows you to easily connect to everywhere in Belgium. It is located in the level -1 of the airport that you can easily reach with escalators or lifts. You can buy train tickets at the desk at level -1 or you can buy them online.
Brussels South Charleroi Airport
Charleroi's airport has no train station and therefore you will need to use a bus first to reach a train station nearby. The airport is only 20 minutes from Charleroi Sud train station using bus A or bus 68 (depending on the time of the day). A "combined" train + bus ticket is available on belgiantrain.be.
Luxembourg's airport
There is also the possibility to fly to Luxembourg's airport. There is also no train station at the airport. To reach the central railway station ("Gare Centrale") in the city of Luxembourg, you can use Bus 29 which runs every 15 minutes. The central station is the second stop. A train ticket can again be bought online at belgiantrain.be, but make sure to select "International travels" first! To add to the confusion, Brussels has a train station called Brussels-Luxembourg (Bruxelles-Luxembourg in French and Brussel-Luxemburg in Dutch - do not accidentally select this one!
By Train
There are several main cities in Belgium that can be reached using high-speed international trains:
If you arrive in Brussels, there are 3 main train stations there, called (respectively in French and Dutch) Bruxelles-Midi / Brussels Zuid, Bruxelles-Central / Brussel-Centraal, and Bruxelles-Nord / Brussel-Noord. Eurostar and Thalys trains stop in Bruxelles-Midi. Several Thalys trains or TGV also stop in Liège-Guillemins.
How to reach the Euro Space Center?
By car
If you come to Belgium by car or if you rent a car at the airport, the ESC is very easy to reach. It is located near exit 24 of the E411 Highway. The exact address is:
Devant les Hêtres 1,
6890 Libin, Belgium*
Latitude 50°0'29" N / Longitude 5°13'9.8" E
* The ESC is in the town of Redu, which is part of the municipality of Libin.
There is a very big and free parking there.
By train
You will need to reach the train station of Libramont where we will pick you up and drive you to the Euro Space Center, which is about 18 km from that train station. Below you will find the most obvious ways to reach this train station if you arrive to Belgium by plane or international train. To check the schedule and/or order tickets online, visit belgiantrain.be.
You will notice that this site shows you both bus and train stations! The train stations are identified with the logo of the Belgian Railways before their name. The train station of Brussels Airport is identified as " Airport" (not to be confused with " Zaventem", the station serving the village of Zaventem).

The bus is not very regular (it does not run every hour for example) so you should plan your trip using this website: entering “Libramont gare” and “Transinne Euro Space Center”
